As part of an all-school “bonding day” earlier this month, Kohala High School welcomed Hawaii Meth Project Program Manager Colby Takeda.

Following Takeda’s presentation about the dangers and devastating effects of using crystal methamphetamine, students created anti-meth posters and waved them along the Akoni-Pule Highway to spread awareness to the North Kohala community.

The Hawaii Meth Project folks will be at the Oct. 6 Kohala Country Fair and they welcome volunteers who would like to assist with the mission. If you are interested, please email ctakeda@hawaiimethproject.org.
